Painting / Pencil / Collage

I paint like an impatient child, pre-occupied with the tactile nature of paint on brush rather than attempting any skillful rendering. The combination of human anatomy with the landscape was an early theme that developed from basic geometric compositions and psychedelic colors. Acrylic is the preferred medium, and canvas paper is a cheaper and space-saving alternative to stretched canvases.

"Sea and Sand" is one of several Venetian blinds painted with acrylic on both sides. This triptych is from my apartment on 10th Street and Second Avenue, where I lived from 1990-1995.
